my plug to be on Garrison Keillor's
NPR radio show
Another fella would have hired a big time agent to represent himself to Prairie Home Companion, but I'm not the other fella in this matter. I believe I have developed some very unique and beautiful styles of autoharp playing. I create smooth bass lines that sound like a second autoharp is being played, and I can play a duet between my thumb and fingers. "Well," you say, "what's the big deal?" "Well," I say, "I sure had a lot of fun doing it, and it sure is pretty."
But don't take my word for it, let my fingers do the talking.
A traditional reel (1.1 meg. mp3): Peacock Feathers
A duet between my thumb and fingers (2.8 meg. mp3): Mark, Mozart, & Me
A piece by Peter Ostroushko: (2.4 meg. mp3): Sacred Heart
"Carey would be great on that guy's show." A quote from Carey's mom in 1998. (A woman ahead of her times.)
